Volunteering Activities Held by Various Schools of XUT

The School of Management Engineering held a cultural performance and awareness event at Midea Plaza, themed “Youth Building Dreams, Safety First.” Over 100 citizens attended, enjoying performances and engaging in activities focused on telecom fraud prevention, disease control, fire safety, and constitutional knowledge. Volunteers distributed educational materials and answered questions. Xuzhou Medical University students also demonstrated CPR and AED techniques to promote emergency response skills. Representatives from the School of Humanities visited the 73087 Military Unit, where they participated in a farewell performance for retiring soldiers. The event, titled “Stay True to Your Original Aspiration, Preserve Your Character” combined military and academic performances, delivering an emotional tribute to the soldiers. The vibrant and heartfelt performances from both sides celebrated military-civilian unity and the soldiers’ dedication, winning applause from both military personnel and students. In response to the national call for AIDS prevention, the School of Information Engineering hosted a “Know AIDS, Prevent AIDS, Walk with Love” campaign. Volunteers distributed educational materials in the campus and shared AIDS prevention knowledge through online platforms. This campaign aimed to reduce fear and discrimination, fostering a healthier, AIDS-free campus. The School also engaged in a Constitutional Day event on December 4, distributing legal knowledge to the community and answering residents’ questions on their legal rights. The Youth Volunteer Association of the Physical and School of Physics and New Energy hosted a volunteering event at the Xuzhou Museum, providing services such as luggage storage, tour guidance, etc. Volunteers were praised for their positive attitude and dedication, earning recognition from both museum staff and visitors. Afterward, the volunteers toured the museum, deepening their understanding of Xuzhou’s rich historical and cultural heritage.The event aimed to help more people understand the rich historical and cultural heritage of Xuzhou and experience the unique charm culture of Han Dynasty through the practical actions of youth volunteers.
