On October 28, XUT, in collaboration with the Russian Cultural Center, Beijing, hosted the Russian Higher Education Exhibition (Xuzhou Station). Around twenty prominent Russian universities participated, including the Russian Technological University (RTU MIREA) and Kazan Federal University. Key attendees included XUT leaders Zhang Nong and Cao Jie, officials from Xuzhou Municipal Foreign Affairs Office and Xuzhou Education Bureau, as well as Guptor Aleksandr from the Russian Cultural Center.
During the event, leaders launched the exhibition and emphasized the importance of deepening Sino-Russian educational ties. Zhang Nong, President of XUT, highlighted our long-term cooperation with ETU “LETI”, while officials from Xuzhou Municipal Foreign Affairs Office and Xuzhou Education Bureau spoke on Xuzhou’s commitment to fostering cultural and educational exchanges with Russia.
Guptor Aleksandr noted the activity significance in celebrating 75 years of Sino-Russian diplomatic relations and enhancing collaboration in higher education. Participating universities presented their programs, fostering discussions on talent cultivation and scientific research cooperation with local institutions. Nearly 500 students and faculty from Xuzhou Secondary Schools also attended the event.
