Recently, the official results of the 21st National Information Security and Countermeasures Contest (ISCC 2024), hosted by Beijing Institute of Technology, have been announced. XUT students have made outstanding performance in this contest. In the Individual Challenge (College Student Division), Ji Yixuan won the National First Prize, while five students including He Peiyan received the National Second Prize, and nine students including Wang Yu achieved the National Third Prize.
The Individual Challenge of this competition took place from May 1st to 25th, 2024, attracting over 13,400 participants from more than 2,000 institutions and enterprises nationwide across various divisions including college students, graduate students, and primary and secondary school students.
ISCC, a premier event in China's information security sector, is organized by the China Ordnance Society and its Information Security and Countermeasures Contest Committee. It has been included in the national competition directory for ordinary college students since its inception in 2004 and has been held consecutively for 21 sessions, attracting over 116,000 participants. The competition aims to comprehensively implement the national spirit regarding cybersecurity and informatization, evaluating participants’ capabilities in cybersecurity innovation, fostering innovative thinking, enhancing awareness of cybersecurity, practicing information security technologies, creating a secure information environment, and continuously cultivating high-quality professionals in network information security and countermeasures.
Since 2020, our students have actively participated in this competition, accumulating 6 National First Prizes, 13 National Second Prizes, and 15 National Third Prizes, showcasing their excellence and ongoing growth in the field of information security.
