President Zhang Nong led a delegation to Hungary and Russia in May, 2024, visiting Széchenyi István University (SZE) in Hungary and Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University (ETU) in Russia. The visit aimed to enhance educational and technological cooperation between our universities.
In Hungary, the delegation was warmly welcomed by President Bálint Filep and Vice President Eszter Lukács of SZE. Discussions focused on mutual cooperation in mechanical engineering, computer science, logistics engineering, and bioengineering, including cooperation programs such as credit recognition, teacher training, student exchanges, and cultural interactions.
In Russia, at Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University (ETU), President Zhang Nong met with President Viktor Sheludko Nikolaevich and Vice Presidents Minina and Kharunin. Both sides reviewed successful collaborations in education and research, highlighting the joint efforts in talent development and the establishment of the Xuzhou Institute of Technology Saint Petersburg Joint Engineering School. Plans were discussed to deepen cooperation in research, masters’ training, and academic exchanges. The two universities will be committed to fostering international talents and advancing bilateral educational partnerships.
The delegation also held a symposium with faculty and students from XUT studying and researching at ETU.
