The 2023 Xuzhou City Higher Education Ping Pong Tournament took place on December 23rd at XUT sports arena. This event was organized in partnership with the Xuzhou Sports Bureau, XUT, and Xuzhou Radio and Television Media Group. A total of 17 representative teams from Xuzhou universities and institutions, comprising 85 athletes, participated in the competition. The opening ceremony was attended by Liu Yang, Secretary of XUTPC, who officially inaugurated the tournament.
Following intense battles, XUT achieved an impressive third place in the team event and a commendable seventh place in the individual event.
During the closing ceremony, Li Ling, Director of the Publicity Department, presented awards to the victorious teams. This tournament not only showcased the athletic prowess of faculty and staff athletes from Xuzhou universities and institutions but also fostered exchange and collaboration among the participating units. Its positive impact will contribute to the further development of table tennis within Xuzhou's higher education institutions.
