On November 15, a promotional and recruitment campaign, sponsored by Changzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Changzhou Municipal People’s Government, was held in XUT Run Run Shaw library. Ji Peidong, member of the Standing Committee of Changzhou Municipal Committee and Director of the Organization Department, together with leaders of Changzhou Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, Bureau of Science and Technology, Changzhou National High-tech Zone and representatives from 39 Changzhou leading enterprises came to XUT. XUT leaders Chen Kuiqing, Zhang Nong, Liu Yang, Li Subei, Cao Jie attended the event.
Zhang Nong delivered a welcome speech on behalf of XUT. In his speech, he introduced the development of XUT and extended our sincere thanks to the local authorities including Changzhou for providing opportunities for students. And he also encouraged students to grasp the opportunities and to work hard, making achievements.
Ji Peidong introduced the socio-economic development of Changzhou and welcomed XUT students to work there. Other Changzhou leader introduced talent introduction policies of Changzhou.
After the promotional campaign, Ji Peidong and his entourage visited the East Campus of XUT, and the two sides had full exchanges on the cooperation among XUT, Changzhou government and enterprises.
At the recruitment event, 39 enterprises in Changzhou provided more than 1,200 positions, and more than 1,000 XUT graduates consulted and submitted resumes on the spot.
